What is a Webinar?

Webinar is short for Web-based seminar. Webinar's are just like a conference room based seminar. However, participants view the presentation through their Web-browser and listen to the audio through their telephone. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information. Contrast with "Webcast", in which the data transmission is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.
What do I need to attend?

  2. Internet access
  3. A phone line for listening to the teleconference portion if computer does not have sound.

Joel also serves as the MDS 3.0 and RUG IV resource and education coordinator for Extended Care Products Inc. In that role, Joel has also developed a complete line of MDS 3.0 related resources at: www.mycaring.com

Joel continues to provide ongoing webinar and seminar resources for the GHCA.

Conference Overview

Members of Congress listen to their constituents and care about constituent opinions. The most effective way to communicate with your Members of Congress is to personally meet with them or their staff. That is precisely why we need you to attend this year’s Congressional Briefing.

Legislative issues are the most powerful when the message comes straight from home. It is imperative that Members of Congress realize how decisions made in Washington, D.C., impact how care is delivered in facilities. Be the voice for our profession and start the dialogue!

This year's featured speakers include:

  • Pulitzer Prize-winning Writer and Investigative Reporter Bob Woodward
  • House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi
  • Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)
  • Representative Joe Courtney (D-CT)

For more information on the Congressional Briefing, please visit the AHCA/NCAL website by clicking HERE.
