Position Information

Regional Nurse, RN
  • Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing services programs and activities of assigned nursing centers in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing centers.
  • Provide Administrators and the Regional Vice President with information relative to the nursing needs of the patients and nursing service’s ability to meet those needs.
  • Review nurses’ notes to provide that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the patients’ response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the patient’s wishes.
  • Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to provide that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatment is provided as scheduled, as requested.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, maintaining, periodically reviewing and updating written procedural guidelines that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing departments.
  • Interpret the organization procedural guidelines to Administrators, Directors of Nursing, other nursing center staff and government agencies, etc. as necessary.

Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred) with a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia.
  • SNF DON experience required with nurse consulting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of long-term care operational standards and regulations.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region.
