Brightmoor Nursing Center is actively seeking an Activity Director to join our team!
Activities directors of nursing homes coordinate activities such as group events, field trips, and recreational activities. Activities Directors expected to create plans for each individual and take into account their health needs, abilities, and general interests. Activities directors generally have the goal of upholding their residents’ standard of living and rehabilitate them, if necessary, to improve it; this may involve overseeing exercise activities which will aid their physical and mental well-being. Activity directors may be expected to teach classes and transport residents to activities and events which are outside of the facility. They also coordinate special events, which involves working with outside vendors and service providers. Occasionally, they must work within budgets, so it is important to create activity plans which are effective, but affordable.
