EDWP Program Assistant - Rome, GA
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties for Community Care’s Elderly and Disabled Waiver Programs (EDWP) (Rome office) with accuracy and within established deadlines. Serves as the “first impression” for Community Care’s Rome office by answering and routing incoming calls in a swift, professional fashion to the appropriate staff/manager. Processes and routes incoming/outgoing correspondence, brokers services for clients, manages the Medicaid application process from beginning to end, resolves billing problems, compiles data for reports and assists with the ordering and distribution of office supplies. Also coordinates and executes other clerical or data entry duties/special projects as assigned by the EDWP Program Manager or Community Care’s Executive Director. This position will be knowledgeable of the Medicaid Waiver prior authorization and rules of billing; ICD-10 codes and GAMMIS. |

Requirements |
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent in skill and/or experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Work, or related field preferred.
Previous Experience: Two years experience in healthcare preferred
Knowledge & Training: Must be able to function independently in multi-disciplinary setting. Requires proven interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates proven decision-making skills, organizational and time management skills. Some knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and general computer skills.
Computer Skills: Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer with regard to: User names and password concepts; effective use of the internet as a research tool; communication and calendaring skills via Outlook e-mail program; navigation of desktop computer or laptop to include: starting programs from startup menu or desktop icons; opening, Creating and Saving a new document; use of Save As function in use of template & form documents; use of file management technique on both public and personal drives. Intermediate use of MS windows applications, i.e.- Word, Excel & Outlook; Effective use of navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
