Requirements |
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in nursing care.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor the quality of care delivered to residents and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to physician orders.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Serve as a resource to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and other relevant information in resident records.
- Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism among nursing staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency in computer documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
