Director of Nursing (DON)
We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. The Director of Nursing will oversee all aspects of nursing care within the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting the highest quality of care for our residents. This individual will be responsible for managing the nursing staff, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of our residents.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in nursing care.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor the quality of care delivered to residents and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to physician orders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Serve as a resource to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Ensure proper documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and other relevant information in resident records.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism among nursing staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.


  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing long-term care facilities.
  • Proficiency in computer documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
