Position Information

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in nursing care.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor the quality of care delivered to residents and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to physician orders.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Serve as a resource to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
• Ensure proper documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and other relevant information in resident records.
• Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism among nursing staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing long-term care facilities.
• Proficiency in computer documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
