Disaster Relief Fund

GHCA’s Disaster Relief Fund is established through the Georgia Health Care Association Education and Research Foundation, our 501c(3) tax exempt organization. The fund benefits employees of GHCA member centers affected by natural disasters such as Helene. Our goal is to assist as many of them as possible through your generous donations. All donations we receive will go directly to those in need.

GHCA’s Disaster Relief Fund is available to support member center employees located in areas impacted by natural disasters such as Hurricane Helene. Each submission will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with priority given to those residing in areas of significant impact*. Financial assistance from the fund will be distributed to individuals directly to the address provided in the application.

Share Your Hurricane Hero Stories
Following the impact of Hurricane Helene in our state, GHCA would like to recognize the heroes who have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their residents and fellow caregivers. Please help us recognize your member center employees who went above and beyond by sharing their stories with GHCA.
If you have a Hurricane Hero story, please submit the following to GHCA Director of Communications Devon Barill at dbarill@ghca.info:
- No more than 250 words that captures the story of the hero’s actions and impact.
- Your contact information (email, phone number), the name of facility, and the city of the facility where the story takes place.
- Any photos or videos we can share to visually support your story.
