The Georgia Health Care Association/Georgia Center for Assisted Living (GHCA/GCAL) is pleased to announce Nicole Allen, Executive Director of Brightmoor Senior Living in Griffin, GA, has been reelected to serve as the Chair of the GCAL Board of Directors for 2023-2024. Allen was reelected to the position by the GCAL membership and installed by Georgia Speaker of the House Jon Burns during the GHCA Summer Convention on June 7, 2023, in Amelia Island, FL.
“Nicole is an outstanding leader and remains steadfast in her commitment to enhancing the lives of those residing in Georgia's assisted living communities and personal care homes,” said GHCA/GCAL President & CEO Chris Downing. “I am honored to have the opportunity to work with her and the rest of the GCAL Board to continue to advance GCAL and the assisted living profession.”
As Chair, Allen will be responsible for ensuring the proper governance of the Association and serve as the primary voice for the GCAL membership on the GHCA Board of Directors. She will also serve as a National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) State Leader.
Allen has worked in assisted living for over 10 years and currently serves as Executive Director of Brightmoor Senior Living. She served on the GCAL Board of Directors as Treasurer before being elected as Chair. She earned the 2020 American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) Executive Director of the Year Award and is a licensed assisted living community administrator. She holds a bachelor's degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
