Glenda Stewart Elected as Chair of the GHCA Elderly & Disabled Waiver Case Management Board for 2022-2023

The Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA) is pleased to announce that Glenda Stewart, Director of Quality Assurance & Compliance for Next Step Care, has been elected to serve as Chair of the GHCA Elderly & Disabled (E&D) Waiver Case Management Board of Directors for 2022-2023. Ms. Stewart was elected to the position by the E&D Waiver Case Management membership and installed during a virtual member business meeting on May 26.
 
“Glenda is an outstanding leader who has served elderly and disabled Georgians in various capacities with distinction for many years.” said GHCA President & CEO Tony Marshall. “I am honored to have the opportunity to work with her and the rest of the GHCA E&D Waiver Case Management Board to continue to enhance the lives of those served by our State's SOURCE and CCSP agencies.”
 
The (E&D) Waiver Case Management membership consists of Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment (SOURCE) and Community Care Services Program (CCSP) Medicaid home and community-based waiver case managers that serve frail, elderly and disabled beneficiaries within the community. As Chair, Ms. Stewart will be responsible for ensuring the proper governance of the E&D Waiver Case Management membership and serve as the primary voice for SOURCE and CCSP providers on the GHCA Board of Directors.
 
Ms. Stewart is a Registered Nurse with nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare spanning the continuum to include acute care, medical/surgical nursing, research, education, quality management, and compliance. She holds certifications in both healthcare quality (CPHQ) and compliance (CHC) and has provided leadership in a variety of successful quality initiatives within her organization for over a decade. During her career, Glenda has built a reputation for performance excellence, innovation, strategic thinking and facilitation, and an undeniable passion for quality and performance improvement.
